The first in Maria’s pilgrimage series, this retreat is a much needed sacred pause for every woman wanting to connect to their feminine essence.
In the land of the last four existing indigenous tribes (Kogi, Wiwa, Arhuaco and Kankuamo people) ancestors of the pre-Hispanic Civilization, known as the Tayrona. The ones that still practice and follow the Tayrona belief of “Aluna”, which is the belief that all reality is created by thought. We will do some deep self-love work nestled in the jungle within the shadow of the Sierra Nevada. Nestled under the shade of majestic coconut palms is a place where you can disconnect from the hectic world and appreciate the simpler things in life. We will connect with the elements, enjoy the sun, the empty virgin beaches, the fresh salt air and the unforgettable panoramic seascapes. This magical place is a relaxing world where time moves slowly and you can truly disconnect and reflect.
In a world that is all about the hustle and getting shit done, this retreat is about slowing down and allowing yourself to remember who you truly are. A woman with needs and wants. About Maria …
Maria Brito is a women’s empowerment coach from the island of Puerto Rico and has made her home in Huntsville, Alabama. Lovingly called by her closest as Mama Maria, she is also known as a soulful shadow walker and a passionate ceremonialist of life. Her focus is assisting women in the journey to connect to what needs to be healed within in order to create space for what they want to manifest.
Maria reminds women that each phase/season of our lives is a rite of passage and should be honored and celebrated in the most sacred way. She believes that we all have the magnificence to provide healing to our own bodies. Through her programs and workshops, she provides women with tools to empower themselves to be the "cura" (healing) for their inner shrines.
Maria is also a certified RYT-500 yoga instructor and educator in the lineage of Tantric and Kundalini yoga. She infuses her workshops with ancient practices and tools which assist her clients in dealing with anxiety, depression and fear-based mentality. She is a certified trauma-release Breathwork facilitator. Her programs and retreats are infused with a high dose of self-love and have been described as life-changing, transformational, motivational, raw and deep.
Maria not only wants you to learn powerful practices that will support you for a lifetime but she will also be there to coach you and guide you every step of the way. She has been called “a creatress of divine healing spaces”.
